FREE SHUTTLE COMMENCES TODAY, CHAMPIONED BY ASUMADU & WISDOM NDUKWE

In the wake of end of first semester examinations, excellences Prince Asumadu and Wisdom Ndukwe has lobbied and made available official arrangement for 4 shuttle service for students on Diaspora, International, Traditional and Pentagon Campuses(Northern campus). The aforementioned destination is the convenging point where students would be conveyed to and fro their examination centres.  Students should accord the needed and the necessary support, cooperation and assistance to the agents. The free shuttle commences today, Sunday, 15th of May, 2022. It is for a period of one substantive week. We have been told the President is working around the clock to call for the extension of the services of the Boafo bus.  Whistle Blower 360 & Walking Encyclopaedia 360 wishes you a successful examinations.

I Foresee Brighter Prospects in Asumadu & Ndukwe led Administration

The prospects of Asumadu and Wisdom Ndukwe led administration has been the one that many students anticipate. However long it takes, the mandate has been been given to them.  Upon resumption to office, we have seen their Swift intervention in organising a meeting with the sellers at the Lecturers and staff markets ( Night Market) discussing the recent hikes in commodity prices. The recent increase in consumables and foodstuff is alarming, unwarranted and worrying. We cannot fathom why every blessed day's provisions prices are inflating. Extorsions at diaspora halls are uncalled for and not guaranteed. We are keenly aware of their intervention, and hoping that the Asumadu- Ndukwe led governance would expedite the unfailing effort to deal with such menace confronting us. Indeed, governance is continuous we have seen that the duo has taken the trend of mobilising students for a seminar. This has been a programme that virtually every administration embarks on to sensitize students on m

Vacate UGSRC President's Office Naadu Told

Information reaching Whistleblower, 360 is that the immediate past Acting UGSRC    President is feeling reluctant to vacate the office of the UGSRC President, Stephanie Naadu Antwi following the swearing-in of Prince Asumadu and Wisdom Ndukwe as President and Vice President respectively, just recently. The behaviour put out by the former Ag. UGSRC President who doubles as the  General Secretary of UGSRC is uncalled for and has made many students believe that she is a power-hungry chief executive.  It seems many students now tend to believe the aphorism or the common parlance that, "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". I would like to urge her to assume and take up her position as the substantive General Secretary of the SRC and work, coordinate, monitor, supervise and control the secretariat and the publicity.  She has been ascribed as a woman of charisma and we want her to behave as much to put her enemies to shame. If nothing at all, we can recall her ro

Reshuffle Committee heads- Our Humble Appeal: Aki-Ola Aziz tells UGSRC Prez And Veep

It is the fervent belief of students that the 64th USRC President, Prince Asumadu would expedite actions on reshuffling most of the appointees of the UGSRC. It has been anticipated that the Prince Asumadu/ Wisdom Ndukwe administration would keep the ball rolling, and discard all appointments under the guise of reshuffling and reappointment. It would not be surprising to see some key and top-notched campaign team members besieging the Union building as a reward for loyalty, hard work and commitment. The said President and Vice had battled with the courts since their election in the previous year. it is the firm conviction of students that the duo would perform the task ahead of them. Others have argued that time is far behind that the couple would not be able to live up to their expectations; probably reneging on their campaign promises. Walking encyclopaedia 360; alongside the whistleblower, 360 is keeping an eye on them. We are glued to the university community and willing to scrutin

Stephanie Naadu's 100 Days In Office Is A Failure

Ag. University of Ghana Students' Representative Council Presid8ent, Stephanie Naadu's appointment is more of a ceremonial orientation than an administrative orientation. She was elected by the student populace as a general secretary to take records of the UGSRC and write minutes among other things. However, owing to the impasse between the two substantive UGSRC presidential candidates at the Court of Appeal, she was appointed by the school management to spearhead, supervise and steer the affairs of students within the Union Building. It is quite unfortunate for the declared winner and plaintiff, Prince Asumadu who sought redress at the Accra High Court to be sworn in as the duly elected president, which went in his favour. The respondent, the previous Chief Justice had sought for appeal at the Court of Appeal to overturn the ruling of the high court to install Samuel Amos Ofosu as the validly elected president. Stephanie Naadu has been fortunate and she needs to take advantage

Where did we go wrong as students of the 21st century Ghana 🇬🇭?

Where did we go wrong as students of the 21st century in Ghana 🇬🇭? In the last 3 to 5 decades, we had student leadership strong as the hippo, brave as the lion and wise as the parrot which was vocal, competent and cunning and fought for the interest and welfare of the general student populace. Today, where are the NUGs, USAG, TTAG, the SRCs, GNUPs, TUSAGs and the likes? Indeed gone are the days where student leadership meant politics; student activism. When student leaders meant well for their members. Where struggles and toils were exchanged for prizes and awards, not cash and cheques and visa or master cards. Yesterday was bright. Today ought to be brighter and tomorrow must be the brightest. Calm your nerves down, never be perturbed we are here to fight for you.  "Good name is better than riches". I prefer learning how to fish to fishing for. We fish for fish. The ultimate prize one is paid for is incumbent on the service he or she renders. We should learn to serve rat

Drop The One Student One Laptop Policy And Build Hostels - AKIOLA AZIZ appeals to University Management.

The Prospective Communications Team Member of the Oppossition National Democratic Congress, Greater Accra Region and a student of the Premier University of Ghana, Aki-Ola Aziz had suggested to the Vice-Chancellor of the University Of Ghana to invest the money to purchase laptops for each student dubbed, "Operation 1 Student 1 Laptop to build halls of residence and hostels on campus.  He opined that investing in the construction of halls and hostels will yield more dividends for the institution because entirely every student owns an electronic gadget be it a laptop, tablet, iPad or mobile phone. He considers the halls as a priority that should not be sacrificed for laptops.  The Vice-Chancellor, during her swearing-in ceremony, borrowed this from the government which suggested procuring Laptops for tertiary students which is yet to see its implementation.  The students have not received their share of the laptops as 350,000 basic school teachers are battling with theirs.  The con

NUGS GENERAL SECRETARY DESERVES COMMENDATION

Master Anthony Kwame Julius, the General Secretary for the National Union of Ghana Student-NUGS needs to be commended for his dexterity in coming out with a presser to substantiate and dissociate the Union from the claims made by the President of the Union, Yiadom Boakye earlier this week to endorse the Budget Statement and Economic Policy for the 2022 Financial Year. The National Secretariat together with the office of the executive committee had issued a presser to disclaim or disown the president and his cohorts press conference, that those views and opinions expressed by them do not represent those of the union, and should be treated with the contempt it deserves. Earlier this week, thus, on Wednesday, the Minister for finance had presented a budget statement before parliament for consideration, adoption and approval for the 2022 financial and fiscal year. The content in the budget had received a backlash and condemnation from the public, especially on the introduction of the ele

DEMONSTRATION LOOMS UNIVERSITY OF GHANA

Junior Common Members of the University of Ghana would be embarking on a protest today, Sunday 21st November 2021 at 7:00 AM to register their displeasure against the deliberate delay of the transition of power by the Dean of Students Affairs, Professor GodfredAlufa Bokpin. The demonstration would commence at the almighty Balme Library and across the nook and cranny of the main campus. The rationale behind this protest is the suspicion of students that the dean and some high profile personnel are attempting to overturn the outcome of the results by recommending to cancel results of some particular polling stations. The general student's body is suspecting that the committee would call for the cancellation of the entire results of the UGSRC elections and order for fresh election by the committee. They could probably also suggest that some polling stations results be nullified as stated earlier to favour particular candidates, which they believe would favour Samuel Amos Ofosu, alias

ALLEGED MANIPULATIONS OF THE SYSTEM BY UGCS IN TODAYS' UGSRC ELECTIONS

Information reaching us is an attempt by the  University of Ghana Computing System (UGCS)  to manipulate the system to favour specific candidates and factions in today’s UGSRC Elections. “In every rumour there is a little bit of truth”, An anonymous student of the Premier University had told Walkingencyclopaedia360. We believe it will continue to be speculations and an unfounded allegation. The EC had proposed for an Online voting system for Level 100’s and 400’s and an onsite face-to-face voting for Level 200’s and 300’s for today’s UGSRC Elections. The Electoral Commission of UGSRC had proposed for 2 phases and had tabled before the Executive Committee of UGSRC for further debates, deliberation and balloting which had successfully been done. The EXCOM had favour the UGCS against the open of tender to private Information Technology systems.  The students body had all endorsed you for your track record in previous UGSRC Elections. We have believed in the efficient delivery in ensuring

GNPC, GETFUND, SCHOLARSHIP SECRETARIAT AND STUDENT LOAN TRUST FUND A MERE FIASO

The default in payment of scholarships and student loan by the National Scholarship Secretariat and the Students’ Loan Trust Fund is a matter of public concern. President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo had promised to award scholarships to students who had enrolled in the various tertiary education in the country. He had asked the Secretariat and other awarding bodies to award scholarships to students who excelled in the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations. He made this order after the release of the WASSCE results. This had remained a fiasco, as Secretariat and other awarding scholarship institutions such as GNPC scholarship scheme, Get Fund scholarship, among others had manipulated and delayed the processes leading to their award. The awardees had run helter skelter to look else where for loans to foot their fees. Some had also solicited loans from financial institutions with an accumulated interest rates. This does not auger well for studies at the tertiary level.

Breaking the Eight History, Data And Science do not support it.

The recent contemplation by the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party has challenged themselves to break the eight years agenda of which facts, data, figures and statistics doesn't augment. The President in an address with his party faithfuls during the aniversary of the party he runned on its ticket, had assured party supporters the NPP will break the eight years record which had ensured between the major opposition party the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party.  So far leadership of the two main parties had expressed their take on the matter. The vice President of the republic had given same assurance. This messaged had come across the political space during the 2016 electioneering campaign when an incumbent President, John Dramani Mahama gave an assurance to the NDC to break the eight, with his popular "JM Toaso" slogan. It was quite unfortunate to have had the ousted of a vice president who had won on the ticket of his party s a president f

If you die for the party, the party will die for you _ John Dramani Mahama

His Excellency John Mahama His Excellency John Mahama, the former President of the Republic had declared that whoever works for the National Democratic Congress to win future elections would be equally  awarded. He had lamented that when you die for the NDC, the NDC will die for you. This message had gone down with the rank and file of the party; the party foot soldiers who were in higher or greater anticipation to hear this. Mr. Mahama, we believe has turned the table round and diverted attention to serve party faithfuls and sympathizers first before any other interest. We believe is a step in the right direction and the best approach which will go down well with the good citizens of the country looking at what the New Patrotic Party is doing when it comes to recruitment, employment and contracts and many more. They award base on partisan interest and not on merit. The NDC will award base on loyalty and hardwork and on merit unlike others are awarding. It seems the father for all synd

UNIVERSITY OF GHANA FOR JOHN DUMELO : ONLINE APPLICATION LINK IS CURRENTLY SHARED ON VARIOUS SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

The wind of change is blowing across the various campuses of the Premier University, University of Ghana, Legon-UG, where vast  majority of students are aiming at voting for Honourable John Dumelo as the next Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency to salvage the situations that exist within the various electoral areas within the municipality. He is an affable, well determined, vybrant  and vocal or vociferous politician of our time. He is an actor, a make-up artist, an entrepreneur, a farmer and a renowned politician.  He has been the students favourite when it comes to elections on campus. He had reached out to a scores of youth during the previous general elections, 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential elections. It was quite unfortunate for him to the set pace to Parliament as the first National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament since 1996, when the High Court ruled in favour of the declared loser, Isaac Amoh. I would like to encourage all and sundry to

Alleged!!! Upper West Akim MP denied constituent who voted him to power during car clash between the duo

Information reaching walking encyclopaedia360 is the allegation that Honourable Fredrick Adom Obeng, incumbent Member of Parliament for the  Upper West Akim constituency, Adeiso who doubles as the second deputy Minister for Transport has denied knowledge of a superb within his constituency when a gentleman from his constituency had a crash with his vehicle with that of the honourable member. The honourable member demanded an amount of ten thousand Ghana cedis from the gentleman in question after he had cried to the MP that he hails from his constituency. He had told the guy that he does not know Obinimda where he had campaigned for votes during the 2020 election year. We have no issue with the money he took from the gentleman, however, our problem is a denial of the constituent and the community he solicited for votes. Is he a true representative of his constituents? Perhaps may be he never believed the guy hails from his constituency. The honourable member should refund the money if

JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA HAD RETORTED

President John Dramani Mahama had made a proclamation on his intention to be a party agent at his polling station in the forthcoming 2024 general elections, which comes after his recent pronouncement. He made this profound statement to buttress his stance on his recent pronouncement that, the 2024 general elections are going to be ‘Do or die'. He had declared his stance that this does not translate into ‘All die be die', as the incumbent president, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo,  made us believe in the run-up to the 2016 general elections. The rank and file of his party and scores of Ghanaians had commended him for affirming his stance and taking steps to prevent possible rig of the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.  He had condemned what he for seen as bias on the part of the Supreme Court in manipulating the ruling of the 2020 petition he filed against the Electoral Commission. He had assured that he would not resort to the court for redress as he i

AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA

John Mahama Dear Mr. President, First and foremost, let me commend you for your bold, firm, and resolute decision that the 2024 General Elections, both Presidential and Parliamentary are going to be “Do or die affairs. The rank and file of the party, the party's foot soldiers, the grassroots, the supporters of the great party (The Great Akatamansonia), and the good people of Ghana, (the masses) resonate with you on your pronouncement that, the 2024 election is a “Do or die” and not “All die be die”. We shall be vigilant at the various polling stations across the length and breadth of the country. “Do or die”  means the ability to take risks to avoid failure. We have consulted our dictionaries and the meaning is the same. “Do or die is not news, it has been in our statements since time immemorial, on several countless occasions. The rationale behind the “Do or die” pronouncement, as we are all aware translates to vigilance. We do not need a lecturer to translate it for us or give
