UGSRC: TREASURER RACE BECOMES TOUGH AS ASPIRANTS TIE KNOT

This year's UGSRC Treasurer position is the face of the UGSRC elections. The postion is keenly contested by Edward Owusu Boateng popularly known as Gadaffi and Michael Kuti famously called IMF. The race is a heated one of a kind within a decade. Few minutes before Kuti was leading Boateng, however the latter has regain votes to catch up with the former. Per polls conducted by Radio Univers on twitter and links for voting shared on various social media platforms, the votes of the two candidates have broken even, with both candidates securing 50%. VC Commences One Student One Laptop Policy @Cedi Conference Centre Today

The Vice Chancellor of the Premier University in the nation has fulfilled her promise of the 1Student 1Laptop policy popularly known as the 1L1S Policy, as part of her wish to provide students who cannot afford one or are unable to purchase one for their studies. The VC had vowed in the previous year to fulfil this promise. Today marks the commencement of the project, and hundreds of laptops will be distributed to students who had demonstrated that they need that electronic gadget for academic and research purposes Students, with the inclusion of awardees, will assemble at the Cedi Conference today, Thursday,25th August 2022 for the occasion10:00AM. UGSRC Presidential Aspirants, Aki-Ola Aziz with mantra Fanofom and Raman Yusif both Presidential hopefuls,and 4 others had secured an interlocutory from the Accra High Court. A writ of summon had also been issued against the University of Ghana, the Dean of Students Affairs,the Electoral Commission and the Judicial Board all from the Premier University. UGSRC:Vetting Results Not True Reflections of Candidates

In the late hours of Saturday,27th August 2022 at 11.30pm vetting of UGSRC hopefuls were vetted. Vetting of candidates commenced from the treasurer portforlio through to Secretary to the presidential. Edward was the First candidate to pass through the vetting followed by Michael Kuti a.k.a IMF. Then proceeded to the general secretary portfolio with Emmanuella Boakyewa with much precision, Vida Minta with over confidence, Ernestona Mahama walked in gorgeously and modestly with much enthusiasm. Diana Ohene Berma storming in with a music Box playing Diana ooo Diana ooo who sat for barely 10 mins less than her contenders. Beauty who was supposed to have been the last, we were told had written to the vetting panel to recuse herself from the vetting.
