UGSRC:Vetting Results Not True Reflections of Candidates

In the late hours of Saturday,27th August 2022 at 11.30pm vetting of UGSRC hopefuls were vetted. Vetting of candidates commenced from the treasurer portforlio through to Secretary to the presidential. Edward was the First candidate to pass through the vetting followed by Michael Kuti a.k.a IMF. Then proceeded to the general secretary portfolio with Emmanuella Boakyewa with much precision, Vida Minta with over confidence, Ernestona Mahama walked in gorgeously and modestly with much enthusiasm. Diana Ohene Berma storming in with a music Box playing Diana ooo Diana ooo who sat for barely 10 mins less than her contenders. Beauty who was supposed to have been the last, we were told had written to the vetting panel to recuse herself from the vetting. The presidential race saw Noah and Ambrose being first on the list, then Lincoln and Boakye, followed by Ackom and Ramzy, proceded by Curtis and Linda, and ended with Graham and Paa Kwesi. The results should have witnessed Ackom - Ramzy and Noah-Ambrose leading. However, the most unfortunate situation is seing the third in performance leading. it is quite strange. The well-meaning students should ignore the results and vote based on competence. The results are just mere figures to satisfy the parochial interest of someone. The panel after sitting on their tenterhooks for almost 7 -8 hours had produced nothing fruitful but done a great disservice to the student's body. We challenge the panel to comeout with the index they used to award marks to the aspirants. You could see that it is mere figures without any scientific bases. What factors went into the scoring? What measure did you use? What accounted for the exchange of positions? We can confidently say that the vetting results are bogus and of no merit. We would like to know the number of questions alloted for each hopefuls by each panelist whether substantive or followed-up questions. Why is it that Diana was vetted less than 10mins and Ella, Minta and Mahama were grilled under intense heat for close to 30 mins? The Vetting panelists should answer this question. Our confidence that we reposed in the vetting panel had been lost. We are very much disappointed as students who constitute the UG SRC.

UNIVERSITY OF GHANA FOR JOHN DUMELO : ONLINE APPLICATION LINK IS CURRENTLY SHARED ON VARIOUS SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

The wind of change is blowing across the various campuses of the Premier University, University of Ghana, Legon-UG, where vast  majority of students are aiming at voting for Honourable John Dumelo as the next Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency to salvage the situations that exist within the various electoral areas within the municipality. He is an affable, well determined, vybrant  and vocal or vociferous politician of our time. He is an actor, a make-up artist, an entrepreneur, a farmer and a renowned politician.  He has been the students favourite when it comes to elections on campus. He had reached out to a scores of youth during the previous general elections, 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential elections. It was quite unfortunate for him to the set pace to Parliament as the first National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament since 1996, when the High Court ruled in favour of the declared loser, Isaac Amoh. I would like to encourage all ...
