Dennis Appiah Larbi earns My Respect -Aki-Ola, The Whistle Blower

The NUGS president, Dennis Appiah Larbi has been acknowledged and respected by Aki-Ola Aziz, the first Special of the University of Ghana concerning his swift and divine intervention in dealing with matters of student concern. His courage in targetting the reduction in fees of students and the quest for accommodation for students. Dennis, irrespective of his political affiliation has been able to confront key personalities who have a say in the administration of the NPP, yet meet the key stakeholders, the likes of the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum. He is among the few student leaders who think about the interests and welfare of students.

DISGRUNTLED UGSRC EC CHAIR APOLOGIZES FOR WRONGDOING

Source:Univers The embattled and stepped aside Chairperson of the UGSRC Electoral Commission has registered his unqualified apology to the office of the Dean of Students' Affairs and the other mambers of the University Community for his untenable behaviour towards the Dean and the entire populace of the university,following his leaked tape. His miscalculated and unguided correspondence to the Dean escalated tensions, amidsts his recent communication with UGSRC Presidential Aspirants on a possible pair between aspirants. Enough Of The Funfairs

It has become noticeable that the Tsikata-Zanyoh-led  UGSRC is more of a funfair without recourse to their policies tabled during the run-up to the SRC Campaign the previous year.  We have, and continue to witness only seminars and entertainment programs setting aside cutting-edge programs and projects that would contribute to the development needs of students. Most importantly, breaking away from their policy focus and direction. The most bizarre and absurd is the secular and photages of the SRC President and his team popped up on various social media handles purported to have met with KNUST SRC Secretary and other executives to strengthen ties and consolidate support for mutual benefit, assuming a role that is coterminous with that of NUGS President. UGSRC PREZ MEETS PARLIAMENTARY SELECT COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Education has scheduled a meeting with the Vice Chancellor, and GRASAG President, GTEC among others addressed to the office of the UGSRC President. The meeting is scheduled for discussing the astronomical increase in academic fees. The recent pressure mounted on management and the council of the university for a reduction in fees by concerned students of the university. Ghana Tertiary Education Commission issued a warning to all tertiary institutions not to charge above the 15% threshold approved by parliament. The National Union of Ghana 🇬🇭 Schools, Dennis Appiah Larbi petitioned the House of Representatives and GTEC and the heads of institutions concerned.
