Yabr3 Mo Demonstration, Concerned Students of the University of Ghana agitate for hostels

The Concerned students of the University of Ghana 🇬🇭 have launched a demonstration dubbed Yabr3 Mo Demo also known as Mask Up Demo is taking place at the outskirt of the Premier University. Prominent student leaders and politicians have thrown their support behind the students under question who have fallen a victim to the inadequacy or sufficiency of halls of residents or hostels to stay in. The current happenings of Commonwealth hall & Mensah Sarbah hall have added salt to the injury making it extremely for students especially continuous studwnts to obtain a bed to lay their heads. The students are embarking on the Yabr3 demonstration to vent their anger on the university management for failing to address the accommodation challenge which is long overdue and far-fetched. They bring to the attention of the public their grievances and seek redress for the government's attention t be attracted to provide lasting solutions to the problem. They are of the firm and utmost conviction that the recent eviction of the students of Commonwealth hall( Vandals) & students of Mensah Sarbah has culminated in the acute shòtages of hostels as rooms are reserved for students if the court case is going in favor of the victims. The OVA believe that jjudgmentwigoes go in their favor as the university struggles to show up in court and present the needed evidence in chief to buttress their stance on why they chose to evict the students to ensure peace and harmony as claimed. The Vandals are questioning management to point out at least one of their students or alumni involved in such illegality, so the same is the Vikings who question the legitimacy of the decision as investigations have not reached their logical conclusion. The Vandals are alluding to the fact that the decision to receive their Senior Hall Master and Senior Hall tutor is and have challenged the same individual JCR executives suspended for three to five consecutive years. Aki-Ola Aziz , former(1st) Special Envoy to the Office of UGSRC President,64th Administration, Prince Asumadu has added his voice by solid arising with the affected students who are displaced for their reluctance to accept the halls that were assigned to Diaspora. He has Charged NUGS, USAG, and SRC Presidents to stand on their feet and fight for the rights of the students in question. He has also warned students to be active and always sparks student activism across the various campuses and restore the legacies of our predecessors. it was quite unfortunate could not join the brotherhood family as he is attending an equally important assignment. He is sorry for the inconvenience his absence would have caused. .

Fights Over UGSRC Appointment By Political God-Fathers Unnecessary

The current fights in the UGSRC appointment are unwarranted and of no merit as p,olitical God-Fathers in TESCON tzurn to backbite one another and lobby for the positions for their young boys. It has been made known that an immediate past TESCON President and once SRC President are at loggerheads as to who gets what. The Vice president of the UGSRC is seen more often than the UGSRC President on Campus. Students argued that the Vice President deferred his course twice to become the SRC president and had been a resident student of Vandal and Viking. It is rather unfortunate that the SRC could not plead with management to tamper justice with mercy or rescind their decision on CommonWealth and Mensah Sarbah brouhaha with management. The President is a Medical student and does not have ample time to steer affairs and his college they believe is far distant from the center of administration. The major concern raised by students is how appointing students to serve on various committees has bee...

Stephanie Naadu's 100 Days In Office Is A Failure

Ag. University of Ghana Students' Representative Council Presid8ent, Stephanie Naadu's appointment is more of a ceremonial orientation than an administrative orientation. She was elected by the student populace as a general secretary to take records of the UGSRC and write minutes among other things. However, owing to the impasse between the two substantive UGSRC presidential candidates at the Court of Appeal, she was appointed by the school management to spearhead, supervise and steer the affairs of students within the Union Building. It is quite unfortunate for the declared winner and plaintiff, Prince Asumadu who sought redress at the Accra High Court to be sworn in as the duly elected president, which went in his favour. The respondent, the previous Chief Justice had sought for appeal at the Court of Appeal to overturn the ruling of the high court to install Samuel Amos Ofosu as the validly elected president. Stephanie Naadu has been fortunate and she needs to take advantage...

Then proceeded to the general secretary portfolio with Emmanuella Boakyewa with much precision, Vida Minta with over confidence, Ernestona Mahama walked in gorgeously and modestly with much enthusiasm. Diana Ohene Berma storming in with a music Box playing Diana ooo Diana ooo who sat for barely 10 mins less than her contenders. Beauty who was supposed to have been the last, we were told had written to the vetting panel to recuse herself from the vetting. The presidential race saw Noah and Ambrose being first on the list, then Lincoln and Boakye, followed by Ackom and Ramzy, proceded by Curtis and Linda, and ended with Graham and Paa Kwesi. The results should have witnessed Ackom - Ramzy and Noah-...
