Where did we go wrong as students of the 21st century Ghana 🇬🇭?

Where did we go wrong as students of the 21st century in Ghana 🇬🇭?

In the last 3 to 5 decades, we had student leadership strong as the hippo, brave as the lion and wise as the parrot which was vocal, competent and cunning and fought for the interest and welfare of the general student populace.

Today, where are the NUGs, USAG, TTAG, the SRCs, GNUPs, TUSAGs and the likes? Indeed gone are the days where student leadership meant politics; student activism. When student leaders meant well for their members. Where struggles and toils were exchanged for prizes and awards, not cash and cheques and visa or master cards.

Yesterday was bright. Today ought to be brighter and tomorrow must be the brightest. Calm your nerves down, never be perturbed we are here to fight for you.

"Good name is better than riches". I prefer learning how to fish to fishing for. We fish for fish. The ultimate prize one is paid for is incumbent on the service he or she renders. We should learn to serve rather than to the lord. Service pays more than lordship.

My dear students worry no more! We shall break the shackles of poor leadership. No one is born with a silver spoon in his or her mouth. Get inspired, be encouraged and motivated and work harder. Hard work and loyalty reward more. These earn you fame, acknowledgement and admonishments. Be determined and committed, work hard and be generous and hospitable, you shall climb to the crest of the mountain.

Fellows! We are here to let you feel belonging. See to it that we all move along; no one is left behind. Let's be greater together!

NUGs, USAG, TTAG, GNUPS, TUSAG, SRCs would be great again!!!

Fights Over UGSRC Appointment By Political God-Fathers Unnecessary

The current fights in the UGSRC appointment are unwarranted and of no merit as p,olitical God-Fathers in TESCON tzurn to backbite one another and lobby for the positions for their young boys. It has been made known that an immediate past TESCON President and once SRC President are at loggerheads as to who gets what. The Vice president of the UGSRC is seen more often than the UGSRC President on Campus. Students argued that the Vice President deferred his course twice to become the SRC president and had been a resident student of Vandal and Viking. It is rather unfortunate that the SRC could not plead with management to tamper justice with mercy or rescind their decision on CommonWealth and Mensah Sarbah brouhaha with management. The President is a Medical student and does not have ample time to steer affairs and his college they believe is far distant from the center of administration. The major concern raised by students is how appointing students to serve on various committees has bee...
