The Oracle Writes... Part 1

NIGERIANS VOTED FOR CHANGE BUT DISUNITY DENIED THEM - A LESSON NDC MUST LEARN The outcome of Nigeria's election clearly shows that Nigerians yearned for change, desired change and voted massively for change but greed rubbed them of that needed change. The outcome of the election tells us how disunity resulting from lack of internal democracy has gifted the ruling APC 'cheap' victory at the expense of suffering Nigerians. The APC was clearly not the choice of Nigerians but they have to live under its rulership again for another 4 agonizing years. Painful! It was long forecasted that the APC had lost the trust of Nigerians and all that was needed was an opportunity to vote them out. They youth of Nigeria were battled ready to kick out the APC government and they voted exactly for that change. Even in Northern Nigeria where it was believed was APC's "world bank", votes from that part of the Country showed that the people were no longer tied to blind and unp

Agyemang Livingston for Deputy Minority Leader for UGPH

AGYEMAN LIVINGSTONE SCOTT(POLITICAL ANIMAL) FOR DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER🇬🇭🇬🇭*🔥🔥*🔥 PART 1 I am bringing new ideas on board. This is not the usual Air-filled speeches that characterize an electioneering period. In this stage of our democratic progression, elections strengthen our believe in a system that believes in the representation of people. A more efficient representational democracy. I am not representing just a caucus but I am representing our collective ideas and actions that will propel the caucus to become the most vibrant caucus across student parliamentary leadership. 1. I together with the leader will make the Minority Caucus the most intellectual hub in UGPH. 2. I together with the leader will create a bigger platform to welcome our criticisms, ideas and suggestions. 3. I together with the leader with chart a path of progress as far the welfare of the Minority Caucus is concerned. 3. I together with the Leader will create a platform to assist any individual w

GENERAL ASSEMBLY SPEAKER WARNS SRC EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

The newly elected speaker of the University of Ghana General Assembly and also former SRC Vice Presidential Aspirant, Ahmad Ramzy has given a sound of caution to the President of the Students' Representative Council, Martin Gyasi Boakye, and his Vice President, Emmanuel Boakye Lincoln to consider the Constitution of the Council in the selection and appointment of its executives for the 65th Administration. He cited that there is a provision in the constitution that enjoins the General Assembly to appoint or approve the entire membership of committees and not just heads of committees. The communique signed speaker conveys that G.A. is entitled to appoint and approve the heads and members of the audit board. He warns them against old aged legacy appointments made by the executives of those special appointments within the purview of the G.A His motives are to ensure transparency, and also value for money within the SRC. UGSRC PREZ MEETS PARLIAMENTARY SELECT COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Education has scheduled a meeting with the Vice Chancellor, and GRASAG President, GTEC among others addressed to the office of the UGSRC President. The meeting is scheduled for discussing the astronomical increase in academic fees. The recent pressure mounted on management and the council of the university for a reduction in fees by concerned students of the university. Ghana Tertiary Education Commission issued a warning to all tertiary institutions not to charge above the 15% threshold approved by parliament. The National Union of Ghana 🇬🇭 Schools, Dennis Appiah Larbi petitioned the House of Representatives and GTEC and the heads of institutions concerned. The University of Ghana claimed that the school did not increase fees during the apex of COVID, and did the same the previous year. We are very much optimistic that the decision would be favorable and sympathize with the students. Education we believe is a right, not a privilege. Education i

Dennis Appiah Larbi earns My Respect -Aki-Ola, The Whistle Blower

The NUGS president, Dennis Appiah Larbi has been acknowledged and respected by Aki-Ola Aziz, the first Special of the University of Ghana concerning his swift and divine intervention in dealing with matters of student concern. His courage in targetting the reduction in fees of students and the quest for accommodation for students. Dennis, irrespective of his political affiliation has been able to confront key personalities who have a say in the administration of the NPP, yet meet the key stakeholders, the likes of the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum. He is among the few student leaders who think about the interests and welfare of students.

Yabr3 Mo Demonstration, Concerned Students of the University of Ghana agitate for hostels

The Concerned students of the University of Ghana 🇬🇭 have launched a demonstration dubbed Yabr3 Mo Demo also known as Mask Up Demo is taking place at the outskirt of the Premier University. Prominent student leaders and politicians have thrown their support behind the students under question who have fallen a victim to the inadequacy or sufficiency of halls of residents or hostels to stay in. The current happenings of Commonwealth hall & Mensah Sarbah hall have added salt to the injury making it extremely for students especially continuous studwnts to obtain a bed to lay their heads. The students are embarking on the Yabr3 demonstration to vent their anger on the university management for failing to address the accommodation challenge which is long overdue and far-fetched. They bring to the attention of the public their grievances and seek redress for the government's attention t be attracted to provide lasting solutions to the problem. They are of the firm and utmost convi

Fights Over UGSRC Appointment By Political God-Fathers Unnecessary

The current fights in the UGSRC appointment are unwarranted and of no merit as p,olitical God-Fathers in TESCON tzurn to backbite one another and lobby for the positions for their young boys. It has been made known that an immediate past TESCON President and once SRC President are at loggerheads as to who gets what. The Vice president of the UGSRC is seen more often than the UGSRC President on Campus. Students argued that the Vice President deferred his course twice to become the SRC president and had been a resident student of Vandal and Viking. It is rather unfortunate that the SRC could not plead with management to tamper justice with mercy or rescind their decision on CommonWealth and Mensah Sarbah brouhaha with management. The President is a Medical student and does not have ample time to steer affairs and his college they believe is far distant from the center of administration. The major concern raised by students is how appointing students to serve on various committees has bee

SARBANDANLS RESIDENTIAL BROUHAHA A LITMUS TEST ON BOAKYE-LINCOLN ADMINISTRATION

The recent publication by the University of Ghana Management about the transfer of Male continuing students of the two noble traditional halls; Mensh Sarbah and Common Wealth Halls from their legal accommodations or beds is an experiment on the fresh administration of the University of Ghana Students' Representative Council. It is, however, imperative for the UGSRC to petition management to intercede on behalf of the affected male students of Mensah Sarbah and Commonwealth halls to stop this unfair treatment which is casting a doubt on their rights if indeed the Boakye-Lincoln led governance is for the interest of students, but not, the purported selfie government of the University of Ghana 🇬🇭 student leadership Aki Ola Aziz, former Special Envoy to the Office of the 64th SRC President is making a clarion call for Boakye -Lincoln administration to intervene on behalf of students to remedy this situation and champion the interest of the general student population. source: Wh

The NCA's decision to revoke the licenses of media outlets transmitting unethical programs was praised by many. It seems, however, that the NCA took such steps in response to the death of the eleven-year-old child who was murdered by his peers under the influence of a mallam. The media outlets whose licenses were eventually restored after negotiations with the national communications authority. After the NCA restoring the license of the affected media outlets, so
