UG-SRC Skill-Up For Jobs Boot Camp A Mere Jamboree

Todays' publication of Skill-Up for Jobs initiative was nothing more than a sharade purpoted to divert attention from the recent increment of fees by the management of the University of Ghana, and clarion calls by concerned students of the university asking the leadership of the Students' Representative Council to intervene and intercede on their behalf. The dumbfounding actions of the Tsikata-Zanyoh led SRC Administration must be treated with the contempt it deserves. Upon their assumption to office, they have never championed the welfare of students;neither have they been able to negotiate for a reduction in fees for students nor advocate for an initiative to augment or support accomodation deficit confronting students every semester. The Akan adage yhat states that 'y3y3 dea 3fata ansana yay3 dea ehia'. To wit, "we do what isof necessity before we do what is of luxury" What they are only notorious of is side attractions i.e,jams, photoshoots. And they are flierholics intending to use posters as a tool of deceptive to lure students into believing that they are up to task, but, absolutely doing nothing. It is quite nauseating, insulting and disheartening to witnessing no response by the SRC Executives concerning the Ghc100 online teaching support charges and fees. Petitions to the SRC by student activists seeking clarity on the medical examination fees has been neglected and rejected by the SRC, with no officialcorrespondence. If this is leadership theypromised to dwliver and policies to execute, then a primary one pupil willbe able to lead the UGSRC, I beg to differ. The Tsikata-Zanyoh Administration is an inditement on student leadership, with a display of crass incompetence and financial mismanagement, misapplication, embezzlement and mismanagement of students' fund The 4.6k plus charged on SRC dues for the first academic calendar has been misapplied, misallocted, misappopriated, embezzled. Corruption is staring at their faces as crystal as misfortune. The dear students of the of Ghana is asking you to intervene on their behalf for the scrapping of the illicit Ghc 100 cedis online support fee and a reduction in the Ghc 500 medical examination fee and the entire absolving and scrappo of Ghc 260 additional cost on same.

An Open letter to Lawyer Edudzi Tamekloe

Dear Lawyer Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo I wish you a happy and prosperous new year. First of all, let me on behalf of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network, polling agents and party foot soldiers and the grassroots thank you for your support, guindance and direction, most essentially those you foot their bills and pay thier fees. They are extremely grateful and proud of you. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that, numerous others; including myself had fulfilled our obligations or responsibilities as National Service Personnel, and we look forward to be engaged in order to contribute our quotas to nation building and development. You are one of the few Chief Executive Officers who understands the importance of deployment of the youth in public service, that is in line with the core vision of John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress. I urge you to consider most of our grassroots who are frustrated and stranded as a result of consequential unemployment issu...

ALLEGED MANIPULATIONS OF THE SYSTEM BY UGCS IN TODAYS' UGSRC ELECTIONS

Information reaching us is an attempt by the  University of Ghana Computing System (UGCS)  to manipulate the system to favour specific candidates and factions in today’s UGSRC Elections. “In every rumour there is a little bit of truth”, An anonymous student of the Premier University had told Walkingencyclopaedia360. We believe it will continue to be speculations and an unfounded allegation. The EC had proposed for an Online voting system for Level 100’s and 400’s and an onsite face-to-face voting for Level 200’s and 300’s for today’s UGSRC Elections. The Electoral Commission of UGSRC had proposed for 2 phases and had tabled before the Executive Committee of UGSRC for further debates, deliberation and balloting which had successfully been done. The EXCOM had favour the UGCS against the open of tender to private Information Technology systems.  The students body had all endorsed you for your track record in previous UGSRC Elections. We have believed in the efficient deliver...
