UG forces Over 1.3k to defer their course

The Whistle Blower 360 had cited a chat that Barely 1314 students have been compulsorily asked to defer their courses as a result of them not being able to pay their fees and register . Perhaps, it could be the surge in the charges of fees in this academic year. During the previous administration, it was on record that an insignificant number of students deferred their academic courses, barely about 132 students. The Asumadu-Ndukwe-led administration lobbied for the extension of the deadline for academic and residential registrations. Academic registration was extended for three consecutive terms. However, the Boakye -Lincoln-led governance is doing the opposite (contrary. They are losing confidence inthe students who gave them the mandate for them to serve them. Probably maybe they have forgotten that they are here or there to serve them, but not to lord over them. We don't want to believe the notion that they have failed the student populace. It is not over , sometging could be done about it. In the agenda boys group titled the Citadel there was a screenshot posted by one of the most influential students exhibiting what a student asked him to help him defer his course. Nana Yaw Okyere, the immediate past,P.RO and Ag.Secretary to the UGSRC had refuted claims by the Academic Affairs that only 1.3k students had deferred, citing that even in the face of a reduced fees 4000 students were unable to pay and would had deferred, so how come the season where there is an increment of 15% charges in fees? Aikins Opoku, outgone Programs and Project Committee heads had suggested on same platform that the SRC executives should lobby and make arrangement for same. Aki-Ola had suggested that since the Scholarship Committee heads had been appointed they could make the necessary preparation and place the affected students on yhe SRC Yibiboa scheme or fund. Wisdom Ndukwe, the former Vice President had suggested that they appoint Raman Yussif on the Accademic Affairs, since he is best man for yhat job and had served as deputy headu nder the 64th Administration. He was tempted to say that even the neutral Tsikata had added his voice to the call and the matter under consideration. One recommended Ama Adepa as WOCOM Aikins recommended one as Intelligence Committee and Aki-Ola recommended Alor as Students Affairs. Kengel Yeboa, former USAG Secretary aspirant and Acquah, former Vice UGSRC Vice Presidential hopeful had also raised some concerns about the dialatory procedures in the appointment to sensitive and specific pisitions. This could have simply been a very informative article, but right from the beginning, you made it political and that was quite unprofessional. This is one of the many reasons why bloggers have somewhat been reduced to gossips. It is important to share information in a way that gives your readers the power to choose how to feel about the content... away from your personal sentiments.
Thank you.

Stephanie Naadu's 100 Days In Office Is A Failure

Ag. University of Ghana Students' Representative Council Presid8ent, Stephanie Naadu's appointment is more of a ceremonial orientation than an administrative orientation. She was elected by the student populace as a general secretary to take records of the UGSRC and write minutes among other things. However, owing to the impasse between the two substantive UGSRC presidential candidates at the Court of Appeal, she was appointed by the school management to spearhead, supervise and steer the affairs of students within the Union Building. It is quite unfortunate for the declared winner and plaintiff, Prince Asumadu who sought redress at the Accra High Court to be sworn in as the duly elected president, which went in his favour. The respondent, the previous Chief Justice had sought for appeal at the Court of Appeal to overturn the ruling of the high court to install Samuel Amos Ofosu as the validly elected president. Stephanie Naadu has been fortunate and she needs to take advantage...
