AN OPEN LETTER TO KOKU ANYIDOHO

Good-day! Anyidoho, Koku I communicate to you to halt your open and bitter resentment towards the gentle and affable persona and former first gentleman of the land, John Dramani Mahama. You claim to be an ardent and proponent of social democracy and associate of tge left-wing reactionary socialist ideology. We admonished your selfless service to the office of the former President, the late H.E John Evans Atta Mills as the Director of Communications, and your subsequent election as the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress. This could have prefrerably shaped you and made you the General Secretary of the NDC. You fought well in the contest between you and the National Chairman of the party. The previous elections would have forsaw your leadership as General Secretary. You remember when the NPP, through their surrogates arrested you and put in the CID cells. He was the one who came and granted you bail and walked with you as triumph victory over them; your purported loved ones now. You are much convince that that action was orchestrated by those top government officials to tame you. Despite your differences and your resented atitudes toward JM when he was a Vice President wasn't good enough. It was much expected of you to have shown remorse and be of a good behaviour when the party folks reposed confidence in you as the second in command in administrative duties, one would have thought you would focus on party first and not to attack personalities. They were grooming you to take charge of the party, but to their utter dismay and regret you spoke against party leadership and sabotage individual personalities. The 1500 plus delegates who voted for you were not fooled to do so. Eventually, they were thoughtful of your capabilities and your possible acension to be General Secretary. At the time the National Chairman, Asiedu Nketia decided to contest you after having made a resolution not to step down as later anticipated. One could have suggested you step aside for him. Courageously you stood against him and gave him a run for his money. The following election could have been your turn to make it happen but you decided to harbour bitterness, hold rancour bicker. Is that he denied you appointment or did not acknowledged you? It is neither too late or early to have a of change mind, and avoid name calling and singling out of persons of higher calliber, reputation and integrity, likes of JDM and General Mosquito. If you proclaim that the NDC is where your umbelical cord is tied to, then just suprisingly show up in one of our walks and rallies to support the party and candidature. I suggest you join the winning team to capture power in 2024. Who told you we have no resentments, regrets, disappointments with some of our members and leaders, for the love of the party we have decided to reserve our comments. There are individuals we cannot transact business with moving forward. Let bygone be bygone.Bear in mind that if you are not a General Secretary of NDC today, you could be a National Chairman of the party tomorrow.

Yours faithfully,

JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA HAD RETORTED

President John Dramani Mahama had made a proclamation on his intention to be a party agent at his polling station in the forthcoming 2024 general elections, which comes after his recent pronouncement. He made this profound statement to buttress his stance on his recent pronouncement that, the 2024 general elections are going to be ‘Do or die'. He had declared his stance that this does not translate into ‘All die be die', as the incumbent president, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo,  made us believe in the run-up to the 2016 general elections. The rank and file of his party and scores of Ghanaians had commended him for affirming his stance and taking steps to prevent possible rig of the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.  He had condemned what he for seen as bias on the part of the Supreme Court in manipulating the ruling of the 2020 petition he filed against the Electoral Commission. He had assured that he would not resort to the court for redr...

I Foresee Brighter Prospects in Asumadu & Ndukwe led Administration

The prospects of Asumadu and Wisdom Ndukwe led administration has been the one that many students anticipate. However long it takes, the mandate has been been given to them.  Upon resumption to office, we have seen their Swift intervention in organising a meeting with the sellers at the Lecturers and staff markets ( Night Market) discussing the recent hikes in commodity prices. The recent increase in consumables and foodstuff is alarming, unwarranted and worrying. We cannot fathom why every blessed day's provisions prices are inflating. Extorsions at diaspora halls are uncalled for and not guaranteed. We are keenly aware of their intervention, and hoping that the Asumadu- Ndukwe led governance would expedite the unfailing effort to deal with such menace confronting us. Indeed, governance is continuous we have seen that the duo has taken the trend of mobilising students for a seminar. This has been a programme that virtually every administration embarks on to sensitize students on m...
